What is hexagonal charcoal?
Hexagonal charcoal, which many traders call hexa charcoal, is compressed coconut shell hookah charcoal with a six-sided cross-section. We make it at the Coconut Charcoal Factory in New Damietta from the same raw material as the cube — only the shaping mould is different.
The hexagonal shape is ordered in markets where consumers are used to it, and it helps importers broaden their range alongside cube charcoal.
Why do traders choose the hexagonal shape?
The hexagon has six sides that let the pieces line up neatly in the box, and it gives a product that stands out visually on the shelf compared with the classic cube. It is a good option for anyone launching a branded line that looks different from competitors.
