What is coconut cube charcoal?
Cube charcoal is the best-known shape in the hookah charcoal market. We make it at our factory in New Damietta from ground coconut shells, which are pressed and cut into cubes of uniform dimensions. Uniform sizing keeps the number of pieces per box consistent and makes it easy for smokers to arrange the charcoal on the hookah bowl.
The cube is the first choice of most importers and wholesalers because it is the shape consumers know in most markets, so it is usually ordered in the first containers with a new supplier.
Cube charcoal sizes: 25, 26 and 27 mm
We produce cube charcoal in three sizes, and the number of pieces per 1 kg box varies by size:
- 25 mm size72 pieces per 1 kg
- 26 mm size64 pieces per 1 kg
- 27 mm size56 pieces per 1 kg
A larger size means a heavier piece and a longer burn; a smaller size means more pieces per box. Choose the size closest to what your customers ask for.
Technical specifications
These are the figures for our cube charcoal: 80 to 85% fixed carbon, 3% ash, 6% moisture and a 60-minute burn time that increases with size. Fixed carbon is the part that gives off heat, ash content determines how much residue is left after burning, and low moisture helps ignition. The factory operates under ISO 9001 — find out more on the Quality page.
How to use cube charcoal for hookah
Light the charcoal on an electric or gas burner until the piece glows completely, then move it to the hookah bowl. Always light charcoal in a well-ventilated area.
